After being buried for a hundred years in the Orwellian memory-hole of history, the word collectivism finally is returning to the common vocabulary. It is impossible to overstate the importance of this, because the chaos and destruction in the world today is happening, not because of stupidity or natural forces of social decay, but because of the desire of people in high places to destroy the old order so it can be rebuilt more to their liking. That something, which they fondly describe as The New World Order, is world government based on the model of collectivism. World order would by fine if it were based on individualism, but based on collectivism, it would be Hell on Earth. Collectivism is the hidden enemy behind every attack on liberty, privacy, and human dignity. We cannot defeat it unless we know what it is.
